The classifieds in your local paper aren’t just for searching, you can post your own classified ad, many times for free, posting exactly what type of job that your looking for. This can be a very powerful tool, especially if you live in a small town where the thought of posting jobs on the internet would be unheard of. You can add you experience, a mini resume, and even your qualifications right in the ad.
When posting the ad, if your going to include your e-mail address, make sure that it’s a professional one. If your e-mail address is bboy4life@aol.com, you may want to consider creating a new one just for your job search. GMail, Yahoo and Microsoft all offer excellent free e-mail services, which will let you create a much more professional email address to include with your ad.
